This cab meets the requirements of most municipalities and institutions that specify ROPS certification.
ROPS certification may provide a competitive advantage for some customers and be an additional reason to buy John Deere.

This hard-side cab has steel doors for extra protection:

Cab is designed to make the operator as comfortable as possible, while providing maximum visibility for mowing, snow blowing, and other operations.
Entry handle is a push-button design.
Doors and windshield are pin-hinged and can be removed in 5 minutes to 10 minutes for increased comfort during warm weather.
Doors and windows are weather-sealed.
- Each door has a sliding window that can be opened for ventilation.
Doors have an interior steel guardrail.

A large handle on each side of windshield pulls out to open the windshield approximately 4 in. (10.2 cm) for ventilation. The hinges can also be released from the cab frame with spring-loaded pins (no tools required) so the windshield can be raised to full-open position:

A gas spring holds the windshield in the open position.
The tractor hood can be opened for service.
The tractor hood can be removed, if desired.
